American Humane's Film & Television Unit is the only organization authorized to monitor animals in filmed media. Since 1940, the American Humane Association has overseen movie sets to make sure animal actors stay safe while portraying heroes, villains, companions and comedians. American Humane's Film & Television Unit is designated by the Screen Actor's Guild as the only animal welfare organization with onset jurisdiction. As such, the Film & TV Unit considers animal safety its primary goal.

The Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is the Pacific Northwest's largest non-profit, no-kill cat shelter with its own on-site veterinary hospital. CAT rescues, rehabilitates and places the community's abandoned, neglected and injured cats and kittens into loving, lifetime homes. CAT not only partners with the community but with local county shelters, rescue groups and veterinary offices to take in cats that might otherwise be euthanized due to medical problems or space constraints.

The Houston Humane Society (HHS) is a non-profit animal shelter dedicated to eliminating cruelty, abuse, and the overpopulation of animals. HHS provides a wide variety of animal welfare programs to Houston area residents and their pets, including pet adoptions, humane education and Houston's only $30 spay/neuter clinic that is open to the general public.

Kitten Rescue is devoted to rescuing cats and kittens from the streets and shelter euthanasia. Since its inception in 1997, the organization has rescued and placed over 5,500 cats into loving homes.

Kitten Rescue also facilitates Trap/Spay-Neuter/Release (TNR) assistance throughout surrounding communities. They are equally dedicated to educating the public about responsible pet ownership, care of kittens and cats, managing feral cats and most importantly, the importance of spaying and neutering.

This non-profit organization was incorporated in 1946 to protect the well being of animals in Davidson County. The Nashville Humane Association is committed to: promoting humane treatment of animals, finding good homes for stray or abandoned dogs and cats, educating the public about their responsibility to help control the pet population, and providing treatment and care to ensure the well being of animals in the community.

Founded in 1976, Operation Kindness is the oldest and largest no-kill shelter in North Texas. Operation Kindness is able to care for an average of 180-225 animals in the shelter on a daily basis. In 2005, a total of 2,459 dogs and cats were adopted into new homes through Operation Kindness.

Since 1996, P.A.L.S. has served the Philadelphia area as a full service, no-kill animal-help organization. P.A.L.S. is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing stray, abandoned and unwanted pets. Throughout the years, P.A.L.S. has placed over 2,000 cats into loving homes.

The St. Charles Humane Society is a life enhancing facility that does not euthanize for space. Cats, kittens, dogs and puppies will remain here until they find their permanent homes. All animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped prior to adoption.

The organization offers programs such as:
T.O.P. Dog Training (Trained on Premises)
Adoptable dogs are taught basic obedience and classes are offered to the public.
Foster Care through SNUGGLE
In-home TLC for special needs animals such as pregnancy, orphaned neonates, injured or recuperating, fearful animals from abusive situations.
